Freedom “Free to Be" Styling Cream

Growing up in sunny South Florida was an absolute joy. What was not a joy was trying to control my crazy Cuban-Mexican curls. The battle was so intense that I finally surrendered and spent years pulling the curls straight (blow dryer and flat iron). Then, I discovered the "Free to Be" Styling Cream! Not only are my curls beautiful and under control but my hair is healthier (despite the fact that I diffuse it just about every time I shampoo and condition. Now I use the whole collection and everyone, including my stylist, is full of compliments for the beautiful curls that God gave me.

Love this styling cream. I was introduced to it at Walmart's one day and was impressed by how much it worked. I use it now all the time after I wash my hair and when I have to contain the frizz. Works like a charm in defining my curls. Unfortunately, when I needed another supply, it was not available at my local Walmart's, so I had to order it with the additional shipping fee.

I purchased this for my husband since he is letting his hair grow and he loves it! Easy to style, smells good and leaves his hair looking good. 👌

The conditioner felt watery but when I put it on it made my hair so silky. I love the styling cream. It makes my hair really smooth and it doesn't damage my bleached

The conditioner was my favorite and smelled really good and had a lot of moisture to it. The hair cream wasn't bad and left my curls looking hydrated and kind of bouncy.

But it's still a great product that don't leave no residue on your hair the next day like some products do. It also holds your hair in place too and not make it look frizzy like, like I have witnessed before. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a great stying gel that will actually hold your style!

Based on the directions saying to apply a dime sized amount to style hair, I was immediately skeptical because that made me feel that this product may not tame kinkier hair although it states that it's for all hair types. I proceeded to apply the product anyway, but like I typically would: 4 sections broken into smaller sections to define my curls (I tried the dime sized amount one half of my head first, but it didn't do much). On the first side, I used a bit less product and my hair was closer to dry than damp. This resulted in frizzier, less defined results (see pics). The other side was more damp with more product used and my results were less frizzy and more defined. The texture of the product is very thin and lightweight so it spread nicely on the hair, but was unable to fully tame my frizz, especially at the roots. I almost used the entire sample in my hair as well, for reference. I will say the product did leave my hair soft and moisturized, but I wouldn't use it as a styling cream because even though I love a good fluffy wash and go, it's not able to fully tame my frizz, & it has a softer hold than I prefer. That said, I personally wouldn't purchase this product, but if you have looser curls/a less kinky hair texture, it may work well for you.

The cream was my fav, since it gave my hair defined waves and a healthy shine.
